My Skinner box

Presenting my version of a Skinner box. After learning about Skinner’s animal experiments of reinforcing certain behaviors in my psychology class, I decided I wanted to try it out on the smaller of my two dogs, seeing how long it would take him to learn the trick. The white food-container, made out of paper, is held in place by pieces of string taped in key locations. The “lid” of the container is attached to another piece of string which is taped to the back of the gray, propped-up “lever” which my dog will hopefully accidentally push down. In doing so, food should fall from the white container, and this should reinforce his lever-pressing behavior.

The wait is real
